Draft — pending sign-off
Terms & Policies
Standard Australian consumer-goods terms covering sale, shipping, returns, warranty, liability and privacy.
Draft document
This is a working draft prepared as a starting point. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is pending client sign-off before launch. Legal entity details, ABN and contact fields are placeholders held in the business config.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to every order placed with Stanjo Customs (trading name — entity TBC) ("we", "us", "our") through this website or arranged directly by email or social media. By placing an order you accept these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
2. Products and fitment
We modify genuine OEM tail light assemblies to a clear finish. Products are made to order and are listed against specific vehicles and model years. It is your responsibility to confirm that the listed fitment matches your vehicle before ordering.
Options such as colour finish and the LED upgrade kit are selected at the time of purchase. Photographs and graphics on this site are indicative; small variations in finish are normal in a hand-built product.
3. Off-road use and liability
All of our tail light modifications are made for OFF-ROAD USE ONLY. Please refer to your local laws and regulations to see if this is permitted for street use in your area. We are not liable to any damage this product causes from installation or its use.
You are responsible for checking and complying with the vehicle standards and road rules that apply where you live and drive. We are not responsible for defect notices, fines, insurance outcomes or roadworthy failures resulting from fitting or using these products.
Nothing in this clause excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Prices may change at any time before an order is placed.
Payment is taken in full at the time of order through our third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details. Your order is accepted once payment has cleared and we have confirmed fitment.
5. Made-to-order lead times
Products are built to order. We provide an estimated lead time when your order is confirmed. Estimates are not guarantees, and delays caused by parts supply or freight are outside our control.
If a lead time changes materially, we will contact you and you may choose to wait or cancel for a full refund of the unbuilt order.
6. Shipping and delivery
Shipping is free australia-wide and sent with tracking. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Inspect your parcel on arrival. If the goods arrive damaged in transit, keep all packaging and contact us with photos within 7 days so we can lodge a claim and organise a remedy.
7. Customer-supplied assemblies
Where you supply your own tail light assemblies for conversion, you remain the owner of those parts and are responsible for sending them to us safely and insured.
We will inspect your parts on arrival and let you know if they are unsuitable. Conversion involves splitting and refinishing a used assembly: while we take all reasonable care, we cannot guarantee against pre-existing cracks, brittleness, prior repairs or hidden water damage, and we are not liable for the value of customer-supplied parts.
8. Change of mind, returns and cancellations
Because every set is made to order, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns once production has started. If you contact us before we begin work, we will cancel and refund in full.
Products that have been fitted, modified, drilled, painted or otherwise altered after delivery cannot be returned.
This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, not as described, or otherwise fail a consumer guarantee.
9. Consumer guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
10. Warranty
We provide a 6 months workshop warranty in addition to your consumer guarantees. What is and is not covered, and how to claim, is set out on our warranty page.
11. Installation
Our products are supplied installation-ready but are not installed by us. Installation is at your own risk and, where you are unsure, should be carried out by a qualified auto electrician or workshop. We are not liable for damage caused during installation or removal, or for any consequential damage to the vehicle or its wiring.
12. Intellectual property
All content on this site — including text, graphics, photography and branding — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission. Vehicle makes and model names are the trade marks of their respective owners and are used for fitment identification only. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer.
13. Privacy
We collect only the information you give us — your name, contact details, vehicle details and any message — so we can respond to enquiries, manage waitlist interest and fulfil orders. We store it securely, we do not sell it, and we do not share it except with the service providers needed to process your order (such as our payment provider and freight carrier).
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@example-placeholder.com.au.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and the state or territory in which we operate, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
